Andrei Stecca Steindorff

Doutor em Biologia Molecular pela Universidade de Brasília, com período sanduíche de um ano no Joint Genome Institute (JGI) sob orientação do Dr. Igor Grigoriev. Mestre em Biologia Celular e Molecular e bacharel em Biologia pela Universidade Federal de Goiás. Tem experiência na área de Biologia Molecular e Bioinformática, com ênfase em Genômica comparativa de fungos. Atualmente é pesquisador pós-doutor no Joint Genome Institute (JGI), financiado pelo DOE Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory onde atua principalmente na montagem, anotação e análise comparativa de genomas de fungos. Atua também com os seguintes temas: Leveduras, fungos filamentosos, montagem e anotação funcional e estrutural de genomas, genômica comparativa, transcritômica, proteômica e biologia de sistemas.

PhD in Molecular Biology at University of Brasília, with one year period of sandwich doctorate at the Joint Genome Institute (JGI) supervised by Dr. Igor Grigoriev. Masters in Cellular and Molecular Biology and Bachelor degree in Biology from the Federal University of Goiás. Have experience in the field of Biochemistry and Bioinformatics, with emphasis on comparative genomics of fungi. Now is a postdoc fellow at the Joint Genome Institute, funded by the DOE Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, working with assembly, annotation and comparative analysis of fungal genomes. Experience in areas: Yeasts, filamentous fungi, assembly and functional and structural annotation of genomes, comparative genomics, transcritomics, proteomics and systems biology.
