José Carlos da Cunha

Graduated in Computer Engineering from the Catholic University of Paraná (1992), M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Computing by Federal Technological University of Paraná (1996) and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Computing by Federal Technological University of Paraná (2012). He is currently Profesor of the Electrical Engineering Department at Federal University of Paraná (UFPR). From 2001 to 20017 was Professor in the Computer and Electrical Engineering Program at the University Positivo (UP). He worked with clinical engineering for 19 years at the Hospital de Clínicas in the Federal University of Paraná (HC-UFPR), being certified as Clinical Engineer by ICC-USA. He has experience in the areas of Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering, mainly in the following areas: electronics and electronic instrumentation, sensors, biosensors, transducers and actuators, biomedical instrumentation, instrumentation applied to experimental physics, health technology assessment, rehabilitation engineering and assistive technologies.

Possui graduação em Engenharia da Computação pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná (1992), mestrado em Engenharia Elétrica e Informática Industrial pela Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná (1996) e doutorado em Engenharia Elétrica e Informática Industrial pela Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná (2012). É Professor no Departamento de Engenharia Elétrica da UFPR. Foi Professor dos Curso de Engenharia da Computação e Elétrica da Universidade Positivo (UP) por 17 anos e Engenheiro Clínico por 19 anos no Hospital de Clínicas da UFPR, sendo certificado como Engenheiro Clínico pelo ICC-USA. Tem experiência nas áreas de Engenharia Elétrica, Engenharia Biomédica e Engenharia Clínica, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: eletrônica e instrumentação eletrônica, sensores, biossensores, transdutores e atuadores, instrumentação biomédica, instrumentação aplicada à física experimental, avaliação de tecnologia em saúde, engenharia de reabilitação e tecnologias assistivas.
