Possui doutorado em Department of Geography - Camebridge University (1996). Atualmente é pesquisadora - University of Nottingham. Tem experiência na área de Geografia, com ênfase em Geografia Humana.I have research interests in rural development, agriculture, indigenous knowledge, gender, sanitation, energy, forest management and common property resources in the global South. Recent work in India has focused on the environmental and socio-economic impacts of theGreen Revolution, gendered agro-ecological knowledge, decentralized rural energy and farm-waste interlinkages, improved sanitation. I have also recently been investigating barriers to the adoption of improved cookstoves and clean energy in Southern Africa. I am experienced in the use of participatory appraisal, semi-structured interviews, focus groups, questionnaire surveys and participant observation
