Paulo Soares Figueiredo

He holds a doctoral degree from the Boston University Questrom School of Business, with a scholarship from the FULBRIGHT Commission. He holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and a master's degree in Administration from the University of São Paulo (FEA-USP). He has training in mathematical modeling (systems dynamics), acquired at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Sloan School of Management. He taught classes in the award-winning CORE course on entrepreneurship and management at Boston University, where he also worked as an assistant at the International MBA in Beijing and Shanghai. Winner of the Outstanding Teaching Award by a Doctoral Student at that same school. He worked as a consultant at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting and as a Trainee at the Bureau de Service et DIngenierie, in Lausanne, Switzerland. He has experience in Production & Operations Management, and Technology Management, conducting research and teaching on various topics in this area. Did Post Doctorate studies at the Federal University of Bahia. Adjunct Professor at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) School of Management, and permanent member of the Business Administration Postgraduate Center (NPGA).

Possui graduação em Engenharia Mecânica pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP) e mestrado em Administração pela Universidade de São Paulo (FEA-USP). Possui formação em modelagem matemática (Dinâmica de sistemas), adquirida no Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Sloan School of Management. Ensinou turmas do premiado curso CORE de gestão voltada ao empreendedorismo, na Boston University, onde também trabalhou como assistente no International MBA, em Pequim e Xangai. Ganhador do prêmio Outstanding Teaching Award by a Doctoral Student nessa mesma escola. Trabalhou como consultor na Arthur Andersen Business Consulting e como Trainee no Bureau de Service et DIngenierie, em Lausanne, na Suíça. Tem experiência na área de Gestão da Produção & Operações, e Gestão Tecnológica, realizando pesquisas e lecionando nos diversos temas dessa área. Cursou Pós Doutorado na Universidade Federal da Bahia. Professor Adjunto na Escola de Administração da Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA) e membro permanente do Núcleo de Pós Graduação em Administração (NPGA).
