Carolina Salinas de Souza

Degree in Biomedical Science from the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) in 2006 and PhD in Genetics from UNIFESP in 2012. Postdoctoral research experience in 2014 in the UCL Cancer Institute and Pediatric Oncology Institute in 2015, working on targeted next generation sequencing (NGS) of formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded and fresh-frozen high-grade osteosarcomas, with a particular focus on understanding intratumour genetic heterogeneity. Experience in the Ion Torrent NGS platform, Fluidigm Access Array System, droplet digital PCR (ddPCR), quantitative Real Time PCR (qRT-PCR), fluorescent in situ hybridisation (FISH) and cell culture.
