Christiano Lima Galvão

Doctor in Music in the area of Theory, Creation and Practice from Universidade Estadual de Campinas - UNICAMP (State University of Campinas) in 2022, Master in Music and Education from the Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro -UNIRIO (Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro) in 2015, with a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro - UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro) in 1996. He has been working since 1990 in the music field as a professional drummer recording and accompanying artists in Brazil and abroad. He is the author of the books Creative Brazilian Drumming, published in the US in 2010 and Brazilian Grooves Play-Along edited in 2017. He has released an instrumental music album titled 1 + 1 (2006). Between 2014 and 2015 he served as artist in residence at the University of Michigan (USA). He has held workshops at Berklee College of Music (2015), University of Michigan (2017) and University of Tennessee (2017). As a solo artist, he performed in 2017 at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) in Indianapolis (USA).

Atua desde 1990 na área da música como baterista profissional gravando e acompanhando artistas no Brasil e no exterior. É autor dos livros Creative Brazilian Drumming, publicado nos EUA em 2010 e Grooves Brasileiros Play-Along editado em 2017. Lançou um álbum de música instrumental intitulado 1+1 (2006). Entre 2014 e 2015 atuou como artista em residência na Universidade de Michigan (EUA). Realizou workshops na Berklee College of Music (2015), Universidade de Michigan (2017) e Universidade do Tennessee (2017). Como o artista solo, se apresentou em 2017 na Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) em Indianápolis (EUA).
