Jorge Guerra Pires

I have accomplished my bachelor degree in Production Engineering (Engenharia de Produção), awarded by Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP, Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto, Brasil). My main focus was optimization, mainly mathematical-computational models (2005-2009). I have attended my master degree in science on the framework of the double diploma programme between Italy (University of L'Aquila) and Poland (Gdansk University of Technology): recognized in Brazil by USP as bioinformatics. I have focused on Systems Biology and Computational Intelligence (2010-2012), however the programme provided a strong background in physics and mathematics. I have accomplished my PhD in Information Engineering (focused on biomathematics), recognized by USP as Bioinformatics (2014-2017).
