Mestre em Saúde Pública pela Universidade do Rio de Janeiro. Graduada em Enfermagem pela Universidade Federal da Bahia. Professora Titular da Universidade do Estado da Bahia (UNEB), Coordenadora e Professora permanente do Mestrado Profissional em Saúde Coletiva (MEPISCO). Líder do Grupo de Pesquisa Integrada em Saúde Coletiva da UNEB. Diretora de Vigilância Epidemiológica da Secretaria de Saúde do Estado da Bahia, no período de março de 2011 a fevereiro de 2018.Tem experiência na área de Epidemiologia, Vigilância Epidemiológica e Gestão em Saúde.
