Maria Luiza Bezerra Menezes

Graduada em Medicina pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (1986), possui mestrado em Tocoginecologia pela Universidade de Pernambuco (1996) e doutorado em Tocoginecologia pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2003). É professora adjunta do Departamento Materno-Infantil da Faculdade de Ciências Médicas - Universidade de Pernambuco, Fundadora do Serviço de Assistência Especializada em DST/Aids Materno-Infantil da Universidade de Pernambuco e membro dos Comitês Técnicos de IST, e Transmissão Vertical do HIV, Sífilis e Hepatites Virais do Departamento de Vigilância, Prevenção e Controle das IST, do HIV/Aids e das Hepatites Virais do Ministério da Saúde/Brasil. Tem experiência na área de Medicina, com especialidade em Ginecologia e Obstetrícia, com ênfase em Infecções Genitais, Sexualmente Transmissíveis e Aids na Mulher.

Graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Pernambuco (1986), holds a Master's Degree in Tocoginecology from the University of Pernambuco (1996) and PhD in Tocoginecology from the State University of Campinas (2003). She is an associate professor in the Maternal and Child Department of the Faculty of Medical Sciences - University of Pernambuco, Founder of the Specialized Assistance Service in STD / Maternal and Child AIDS at the University of Pernambuco and member of IST Technical Committees, and Vertical Transmission of HIV, Syphilis and Viral Hepatitis of the Department of Surveillance, Prevention and Control of STIs, HIV / AIDS and Viral Hepatitis of the Ministry of Health / Brazil. She has experience in the area of Medicine, with emphasis on Sexually Transmitted Infections and AIDS in Women, working mainly on the following topics: STIs, HIV, Aids, and female genital infections.
