Verônica Moreira dos Santos Pires

Doutorado e Mestrado em História Comparada pela UFRJ, com graduação/licenciatura na mesma grande área. Extensões universitárias nas áreas de história das Américas, história contemporânea e relações internacionais. Foi visiting scholar da Universidade de Massachusetts Amherst no âmbito do SUSIs for Scholars Program on American Politics and Political Thought / U.S. State Department. Acumula experiência em atividades de pesquisa como colaboradora do Laboratório de Estudos do Tempo Presente (TEMPO / UFRJ) e do Laboratório de Simulações e Cenários (LSC / EGN). No presente momento, desenvolve pesquisa relacionada à história global e à história política dos Estados Unidos, participa da Rede de Estudos sobre os Estados Unidos (REDE / UNIRIO) e do InterAgency Institute (IAI). Com ampla experiência na docência, atualmente compõe o quadro de professores nos cursos de História e de Relações Internacionais da Universidade Veiga de Almeida (UVA), o qual coordena desde 2018, e é instrutora do Global Politics Academy (ASA/GPA).

Ph.D. and MPhil in Comparative History (PPGHC/UFRJ) with undergraduate/licentiate degree (UVA) in the same large study area. University extensions in history of the Americas, contemporary history, and international relations. She was visiting scholar from the University of Massachusetts Amherst as part of the SUSIs for Scholars Program on American Politics and Political Thought / U.S. State Department. She has accumulated experience in research activities as a collaborator of the Laboratory of Studies of the Present Time (TEMPO/UFRJ) and the Laboratory of Simulations and Scenarios (LSC/EGN). Nowadays, she develops research related to global history and the political history of the United States, participates in the Network of Studies on the United States (REDE / UNIRIO) and the InterAgency Institute (IAI). With extensive teaching experience, she is currently a faculty member on History and International Relations courses at Veiga de Almeida University (UVA), which she coordinates since 2018, and an instructor at the Global Politics Academy (ASA/GPA).
