Rodrigo Augusto Bellezoni

Doutor em Planejamento Energético pela COPPE/UFRJ, mestre em Engenharia Civil e Ambiental pela UNESP e bacharel em Ecologia pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte. Doutor também pelo Centre for Energy Policy da University of Technology Sydney (UTS), pesquisou o tema Water-Energy-Food nexus and biofuels. Pós-doutor pela Escola de Administração de Empresas de São Paulo (FGV), trabalhou com soluções baseadas na natureza e suas relações com o sistema água-energia-alimentos em cidades. Atualmente é Especialista em Políticas Climáticas e Agro-Ambientais no Centro de Inteligência Territorial (CIT - UFMG), onde trabalha com rastreabilidade de commodities agrícolas e minerais, como foco no engajamento político para cadeia produtivas mais sustentáveis e livres de desmatamento. Possui experiência nas áreas de Engenharia Ambiental e Engenharia da Energia, com ênfase em Planejamento e Politicas para Energia, Meio Ambiente, Agricultura, Florestas e Clima. Atua principalmente nos seguintes temas: políticas públicas, planejamento ambiental e energético, mudanças no uso da terra, impactos de sistemas ambientais e energéticos, desenvolvimento agrícola e urbano, resíduos agroindustriais e urbano, bioenergia, soluções baseadas na natureza, sustentabilidade e mudanças climáticas.

Rodrigo works with the relations between energy and environment issues, through the topics sustainability, water-energy-food-emissions nexus, and environmental and energy policy. Rodrigo's education includes an B.Sc in Ecology from UFRN (Brazil) and an M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from UNESP (São Paulo, Brazil). He has conducted water-energy-food nexus research during his Ph.D. in Energy Planning at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (COPPE-UFRJ), a joint degree with University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Centre for Energy Policy. Postdoctoral fellow at the São Paulo School of Management (FGV), he has worked with the effects of urban nature-based solutions on the water-energy-food nexus, within the project Understanding Innovative Initiatives for Governing FWE Nexus in Cities. Rodrigo is currently a Public Policy Specialist at the Center for Territorial Intelligence (CIT), where he works on traceability of agricultural and mineral commodities, focusing on policy engagement for deforestation-free supply chains. Rodrigos expertise includes environmental and energy planning and policies, land use change, impact assessment of environmental and energy systems, urban and agricultural development, urban and agro-industrial waste, bioenergy, nature-based solutions, sustainability and climate change.
