A Lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Bristol. Batchelors (2004) in Aeromechanical Systems Engineering from Cranfield University, UK, and a PhD in Electrical Engineering (2014) working in the Electrical Energy Management Group (EEMG). He currently conducts research into energy access in rural and off-grid locations with the EEMG, specialising in AC and DC microgrids, small-scale hydropower and other renewable sources, electric cooking, and design for localisation.
