Edson Soares Martins

He holds a doctoral degree (2010) in Literature from the Federal University of Paraíba (PPGL/UFPB). Completed postdoctoral internship with PROLING-UFPB. He is currently Associate Professor (Reference O) of Brazilian Literature, at the Regional University of Cariri (URCA), where he also holds the position of Pro-Rector of Graduate Studies and Research, besides being a permanent professor in the Graduate Program in Letters, in the same IES. He has experience in Literature, with emphasis on Brazilian Literature and Popular Oral Literature, working mainly on the following topics: Brazilian literature, poetry, folk oral art, in addition to studying, in the light of bakhtinian theoretical contribution, the short modern and contemporary narrative, the forms of popular oral aesthetics and African literatures. Editor-general of Macabéa - Netll Electronic Magazine and Deputy Editor of Miguilim - Netlli Electronic Magazine.

Possui doutorado (2010) em Letras pela Universidade Federal da Paraíba (PPGL/UFPB). Concluiu estágio pós-doutoral junto ao PROLING-UFPB. Atualmente é Professor Associado (Referência O) de Literatura Brasileira, na Universidade Regional do Cariri (URCA), onde também ocupa o cargo de Pró-Reitor de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa, além de ser professor permanente no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Letras, na mesma IES. Tem experiência na área de Literatura, com ênfase em Literatura Brasileira e Literatura Oral Popular, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: literatura brasileira, poesia, conto oral popular, além de estudar, à luz da contribuição teórica bakhtiniana, a narrativa curta moderna e contemporânea, as formas da estética oral popular e literaturas africanas.
