Ana Gabriela Alvares Travassos

Graduada em Medicina pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (1996), com Residência Médica em Ginecologia e Obstetrícia pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (1999) e especialização em Colposcopia e Citopalogia pela mesma Universidade (2000), Mestra em Patologia Humana pela Universidade Federal da Bahia/FIOCRUZ (2012), Doutora em Medicina e Saúde na Universidade Federal da Bahia (2016). Atualmente atuando como Professora adjunta do curso de Medicina e do Mestrado Profissional em Saúde Coletiva na Universidade Estadual da Bahia (UNEB), médica e pesquisadora do Centro Estadual Especializado em Diagnóstico, Assistência e Pesquisa - CEDAP (Centro de Referência em DST/AIDS), ginecologista na Clínica IDEM/Vera Harfush e Clínica AMO. Secretária Geral da diretoria 2021-2023 da SOGIBA, membro efetivo da ABPTGIC e SBDST. Vem desenvolvendo pesquisa com ênfase em Patologias do Trato Genital e HPV, Prevenção da Transmissão Vertical do HIV e Infecções Sexualmente Transmissíveis, ensino médico e educação em saúde.

I graduated in Medicine for the Federal University of Bahia (1996), with a Medical Residency in Gynecology and Obstetrics by the Federal University of Bahia (1999) and a specialization in Colposcopy and Cytopathology at the same University (2000), Master in Human Pathology for the Federal University of Bahia / FIOCRUZ (2012), PhD in Medicine and Health at the Federal University of Bahia (2016). Currently working as a professor of medicine and Posgraduate program in Public Health at the State University of Bahia (UNEB), as a physician and researcher at the State Center for Diagnosis, Assistance and Research (CEDAP), and as a gynecologist at the IDEM / Vera Harfush Clinic and at the IMAGO/AMO clinic. Member of SOGIBA, SBPCUC and SBDST. I have been developing research with emphasis on Pathologies of Genital Tract and HPV, Prevention of Vertical Transmission of HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infections, medical education and health education.
