Jéssyca Bressan Schwantes

Graduated in Biological Sciences - Full Degree, from the Federal University of Santa Maria, Palmeira das Missões campus, Master's in Animal Biodiversity, by UFSM, where she is currently a doctoral student in the same program. During her undergraduate and master's degree, she studied aspects of genetic diversity and population structure of parasites of the species Fasciola hepatica, in domestic and wild animals. She is currently carrying out research on historical and recurrent evolutionary processes and their impact on the distribution and conservation of Alouatta (Primates, Atelidae) in the Atlantic Forest.

Possui graduação em Ciências Biológicas - Licenciatura Plena, pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, campus Palmeira das Missões, mestrado em Biodiversidade Animal, pela UFSM, onde atualmente, é doutoranda no mesmo programa. Durante a graduação e mestrado, estudou aspectos de diversidade genética e estrutura populacional de parasitos da espécie Fasciola hepatica, em animais domésticos e silvestres. Atualmente, desenvolve pesquisa de processos evolutivos históricos e recorrentes e seu impacto na distribuição e na conservação de Alouatta (Primates, Atelidae) na Mata Atlântica.
