Paulo Roberto da Costa

He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Fundação Técnico Educacional Souza Marques (1981), a Masters and PhD in Ocean Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, 2004 and 2011 respectively. He is currently the director of the company Seahorse - Energia das Ondas. Has experience in Mechanical Engineering. Responsible for the technical part in two projects of generation of electricity by the sea waves, next to the COPPE / UFRJ. He has twenty-five years of experience in the mechanical manufacturing industry, particularly in the areas of machine design and manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, casting and boilermaking. Possui graduação em Engenharia Mecânica pela Fundação Técnico Educacional Souza Marques (1981), mestrado e doutorado em Engenharia Oceânica pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, 2004 e 2011 respectivamente. Atualmente é diretor da empresa Seahorse- Energia das Ondas. Tem experiência na área de Engenharia Mecânica. Responsável pela parte técnica em dois projetos de geração de eletricidade pelas ondas do mar, junto à COPPE/UFRJ. Tem vinte e cinco anos de experiência na indústria mecânica de fabricação, particularmente nas áreas de projetos de máquinas e processos de fabricação como usinagem, soldagem, fundição e caldeiraria.
