Graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), Master in Pulmonology from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and PhD in Hepatology from the Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre (UFCSPA). Exchange student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (USA). Professor of the Graduate Program in Hepatology at UFCSPA. He has experience in Medicine, with emphasis on Infectious and Parasitic Diseases, working mainly on the following topics: HIV infection, viral hepatitis and tuberculosis.
