She is adjunct professor at the Department of Physiotherapy at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). She is professor of the Postgraduate Program in Rehabilitation and Functional Performance at UFVJM and of the Postgraduate Program in Physiotherapy at UFSCar. She has a doctorate and master's degree in Rehabilitation Sciences (UFMG), post graduation in Sports and Orthopedic Physiotherapy from UFMG and in Acupuncture from INCISA. She participates on the board of the Brazilian National Society of Sports Physical Therapy (SONAFE) and the International Federation of Sports Physical Therapy (IFSPT). She is the president of the IFSPT (2021-2025). She was a physiotherapist at the Sports Training Center at UFMG and has experience in the area of Orthopedic Physiotherapy, with an emphasis on Sports Physiotherapy; and Acupuncture, with experience in serving athletes. He was part of the group of Physiotherapy consultants of the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee.
É professora adjunta do Departamento de Fisioterapia da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). É docente colaboradora do Programa de Pós Graduação em Reabilitação e Desempenho Funcional da UFVJM e do Programa de Pós Graduação em Fisioterapia da UFSCar. Possui doutorado e mestrado em Ciências da Reabilitação (UFMG), pós graduação em Fisioterapia Esportiva e Ortopédica pela UFMG e em Acupuntura pelo INCISA. Participa da diretoria da Sociedade Nacional de Fisioterapia Esportiva (SONAFE) e da International Federation of Sports Physical Therapy (IFSPT). É presidente da IFSPT (2021-2025). Foi fisioterapeuta do Centro de Treinamento Esportivo da UFMG e possui experiência na área de Fisioterapia Ortopédica, com ênfase em Fisioterapia Esportiva; e Acupuntura, com experiência no atendimento a atletas. Fez parte do grupo de consultores da Fisioterapia do Comitê Organizador dos Jogos Olímpicos e Paralímpicos Rio 2016.
