Gabriel Negreiros Salomão

Bacharel em Geologia pela Universidade Federal do Pará - UFPA (2017), com programa sanduíche na University of Adelaide - UofA (2013-2014) , Austrália. Mestre(2017) e Doutor (2020) em Mineralogia e Geoquímica pela UFPA. Atualmente é pesquisador adjunto no grupo de Geologia Ambiental do Instituto Tecnológico Vale - ITV (2021-...). Atua nas área de geoquímica ambiental, mapeamento geoquímico, background geoquímico, prospecção geoquímica, estatística aplicada, geoprocessamento e sensoriamento remoto. Trabalhou como pesquisador bolsista no ITV (2018-2019) no projeto Background Geoquímico da Bacia do Rio Itacaiúnas. Participou de um projeto de cooperação internacional na UNESCO International Center on Global-Scale Geochemistry - ICGG (Jan. 2020), China. Foi Trainee industrial na empresa australiana Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation - CSIRO (2014-2015), onde desenvolveu pesquisa com uso de técnicas espectroscopicas portateis em drones. Desenvolveu atividades laboratoriais (coleta, separação e análise) em geocronologia U-Pb (LA-ICP-MS) no Tectonics, Resources and Exploration - TRaX (2013-2014).

Bachelor in Geology from the Federal University of Pará - UFPA (2017), with a sandwich program at the University of Adelaide - UofA (2013-2014), Australia. Master (2017) and Doctor (2020) in Mineralogy and Geochemistry from UFPA. He is currently an adjunct researcher in the Environmental Geology group at the Instituto Tecnológico Vale-ITV (2021 -...). He works in the areas of environmental geochemistry, geochemical mapping, geochemical background, geochemical prospecting, applied statistics, geoprocessing and remote sensing. He worked as a research fellow at ITV (2018-2019) in the Geochemical Background project of the Itacaiúnas River Basin. He participated in an international cooperation project at UNESCO International Center on Global-Scale Geochemistry-ICGG (Jan. 2020), China. He was an industrial Trainee at the Australian company Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization-CSIRO (2014-2015), where he developed research using portable spectroscopic techniques in drones. He developed laboratory activities (collection, separation and analysis) in U-Pb geochronology (LA-ICP-MS) in Tectonics, Resources and Exploration-TRaX (2013-2014).
