Ígor Abba Arriola

Bacharel em Ciências Biológicas (Meio Ambiente e Biodiversidade) pela Universidade da Região de Joinville (UNIVILLE), e Mestre em Biologia Vegetal pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). Durante a graduação atuou como estagiário no Laboratório de Anatomia e Ecologia Vegetal da UNIVILLE em projetos de iniciação científica com foco no estudo da riqueza e anatomia de galhas de insetos em ambientes da Floresta Ombrófila Densa e Restinga. Atualmente é Doutorando em Biologia Vegetal pela UFMG, vinculado ao Laboratório de Anatomia Vegetal em pesquisas envolvendo anatomia e histoquímica vegetal. Têm como principais interesses aspectos anatômicos, fisiológicos e ecológicos das interações solo-planta-galhadores, e de plantas acumuladoras de metais. Também tem experiência em estudos de diagnóstico florístico e fitossociológico de remanescentes florestais da Mata Atlântica.

Bachelor of Biological Sciences (Environment and Biodiversity) from the University of the Region of Joinville (UNIVILLE), and Master of Plant Biology from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). During graduation, he worked as an intern at the Laboratory of Anatomy and Plant Ecology at UNIVILLE in scientific initiation projects focusing on the study of the richness and anatomy of insect galls in environments of the Ombrophilous Dense Forest and Restinga. He is currently a Ph.D. student in Plant Biology at UFMG, linked to the Plant Anatomy Laboratory in research involving plant anatomy and histochemistry. His main interests are anatomical, physiological, and ecological aspects of soil-plant-galler interactions, and of metal accumulating plants. He also has experience in studies of floristic and phytosociological diagnosis of forest remnants from the Atlantic Forest.
