Bachelor and Master in Geography from UFPR (Federal University of Paraná). Awarded the prestigious DTI-1 scholarship from CNPq, completed a PhD in Geography from UFPR (2010). Developed post-doctoral research in Territorial Planning at UNCuyo (Mendoza / Argentina). Experience in teaching in higher education and the development of technical and academic projects in the area of geoprocessing applied to environmental studies. In conjunction with the Department of Geography and the Graduate Program in Geography of UFPR, currently developing research in the area of Planning and Environmental Management of the Territory. Currently Deputy Director of the Earth Sciences Sector at UFPR, representative of Brazil at RIDOT (Ibero-American Network of Territorial Observation). Member of the Permanent Technical Committee of the LIFE Institute and part of the Network of Nature Conservation Experts, which is managed by the Fundação Grupo Boticário. Currently mediates collaboration between UFPR and ICMBio, focusing on the development of subsidy tools for planning and management of conservation units of the northern coast of the state of Paraná. Consistently driven and guided by a strong passion for geography and, above all, for understanding the public university as a powerful tool for positive social transformation.
Possui graduação e mestrado em Geografia pela UFPR (Universidade Federal do Paraná). Concluiu doutorado também em Geografia pela UFPR (2010), sendo bolsista DTI-1 do CNPq. Desenvolveu pós-doutorado em Ordenamento Territorial na UNCuyo (Mendoza/Argentina). Tem experiência em docência no ensino superior e no desenvolvimento de projetos técnicos e acadêmicos na área de geoprocessamento aplicado a estudos ambientais e sociais. Atualmente é Professor Associado da UFPR, coordenador do Laboratório de Geoprocessamento e Estudos Ambientais (LAGEAMB-UFPR). Coordenador do nó Latinoamericano na RIDOT (Red ìberoamericana de Observación Territorial) e preside o Conselho Gestor do Programa de Conservação da Biodiversidade do Litoral do Paraná (TAJ Litoral do Paraná). Faço tudo isso pela paixão à Geografia e, sobretudo, por entender a universidade pública como relevante ferramenta de transformação social.
