Manoela Louise Assayag de Magalhães Souza

Manoela atua atualmente como pesquisadora e consultora independente, além de ter retomado seus estudos de graduação em Direito. É professora de curso preparatório para o Concurso de Acesso à Carreira Diplomática (CACD). Foi anteriormente professora de pós-graduação do grupo Damásio Educacional, professora horista do Centro de Relações Internacionais da Fundação Getúlio Vargas e Giorgio Ruffolo Doctoral Research Fellow no Sustainability Science Program, Harvard Kennedy School -- onde colaborou com a Iniciativa sobre Inovação e Acesso a Tecnologias para Desenvolvimento Sustentável, liderada por William Clark. Ela é também pesquisadora associada ao Centre for International Environmental Studies, com sede em Genebra, Suíça. PhD em Relações Internacionais e Ciência Política e Mestre em Estudos Internacionais e Ciência Política pelo Institut de Hautes Études Internationales et du Développement (IHEID), Genebra, Suíça. Bacharel em Relações Internacionais pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). Seus principais objetos de estudo são governança global, desenvolvimento sustentável, saúde global e meio ambiente, com foco em acesso a tecnologia e na atuação de atores não-estatais e parcerias público-privadas.

Manoela works currently as an independent researcher and consultant, besides having resumed studying to become a lawyer. She teaches preparatory courses to students aiming to join Brazil's diplomatic corps. She was previously a graduate school lecturer at Damásio Educacional and a lecturer at the Center for International Relations, CPDOC/FGV-Rio. Before it, she was Giorgio Ruffolo Doctoral Research Fellow at the Sustainability Science Program, Harvard Kennedy School, where she contributed to the Initiative on Access to Technologies for Sustainable Development led by William Clark. She is also Research Associate at the Centre for International Environmental Studies, based in Geneva. Manoela has a PhD in International Relations and Political Science and International Relations from the Institut de Hautes Études Internationales et du Développement (IHEID), Geneva, Switzerland, from where she has also received her Master in International Relations and Political Science. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). Her main interests are global governance, sustainable development, global health and environment, with focus on access to technology and on the agency of non-state actors and public-private partnerships.
