Leticia de Almeida

Currently is a post-doctoral at Innate Immunity and Microbial Pathogenicity Lab - FMRP/USP, under supervision of Prof. Dr. Dario S. Zamboni, where she works with High Content Screening of Active Compounds against Leishmania. Currently involved in in vitro infection projects with SARS-CoV-2 and samples from COVID-19 patients. Studying MBA in Business Management at USP/ESALQ. She had PhD in Biotechnology by the Universidade Estadual Paulista - Julio Mesquita Filho - Unesp, at this time she worked on the project entitled "Leishmaniasis and furoxan and benzofuroxan derivatives: in vitro and in vivo biological activity, mechanisms of action and potential therapeutic targets." Held internship in Glagow with Jeremy Mottram and Graham Coombs, at the University of Glasgow and the University of Strathclyde. Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences by the Federal University of Alfenas in 2013, where she also worked on projects with Leishmania and Leishmaniasis. Graduated in Biotechnology by this same university (Universidade Federal de Alfenas - 2010).

Pós-doutoranda no Labotório de Patogenicidade Microbiana e Imunidade Inata - FMRP/USP, sob supervisão do Prof. Dr. Dario S. Zamboni, onde trabalha com High Content Screening de Compostos Ativos contra Leishmania. Atualmente envolvida em projetos de infecção in vitro com SARS-CoV-2 e amostras de pacientes da COVID-19. Cursando MBA em Gestão de Negócios pela USP/ESALQ. Possui doutorado em Biotecnologia pela Universidade Estadual Paulista - Júlio Mesquita Filho - Unesp, período em que trabalhou no projeto intitulado "Leishmanioses e derivados de furoxano e benzofuroxano: atividade biológica in vitro e in vivo e potenciais mecanismos de ação". Realizou estágio em Glagow com os professores Jeremy Mottram e Graham Coombs, na Universidade de Glasgow e na Universidade de Strathclyde. Concluiu mestrado em Ciências Farmacêuticas pela Universidade Federal de Alfenas em 2013, onde também trabalhou em projetos com Leishmania e Leishmanioses. Possui graduação em Biotecnologia por esta mesma universidade (Universidade Federal de Alfenas - 2010).
