Julio Cesar Gonçalves da Silva

Atualmente Oficial do Corpo de Engenheiros da Marinha, atuou recentemente como Pós-Doutorando do Programa de Engenharia Civil (PEC) da COPPE/UFRJ, e como pesquisador visitante (durante estágio pós-doutoral) na Fire Research Division no National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST/EUA). Colaborador no desenvolvimento do código Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) e responsável pela criação de ferramentas para realizar o acoplamento fluido-termomecânico para análise de estruturas em situação de incêndio. Doutor em Ciências (D.Sc.) na área de Engenharia Civil com ênfase em Estruturas e Materiais pelo PEC-COPPE/UFRJ (2014), por onde também obteve o título de Mestre na mesma área (2010). Recentemente, foi Professor Substituto do Departamento de Estruturas (DE) da Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo (FAU) da UFRJ (de 2012 à 2014). Em 2009, foi Professor Substituto no Departamento de Análise e Representação da Forma (DARF - Disciplina Geometria Descritiva I), também na FAU/UFRJ.

Officer from the Naval Engineers Corps of the Brazilian Navy, was recently a Post-Doc Researcher at Civil Engineering Program at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and Guest Researcher at Fire Research Division, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) from 2014 to 2015. Contributor of the code Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) and responsible to develop tools for coupled fire-thermomechanical analysis of structures exposed to fire. Doctor in Science (D.Sc.) in the area of Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structures by Civil Engineering Program at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 2014 (COPPE/UFRJ). Also, master in Science (M.Sc.) by the same institution in 2010. From 2012 to 2014, Professor of the Department of Structures of the School of Architecture and Urbanism of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (FAU/UFRJ). In 2009, Professor of the Department of Analysis and Representation of Form of FAU/UFRJ.
