Roberta Fabbri Viscardi

I teach literature and work as a translator. I am also an independent scholar. I received my Ph.D. in American Studies from the University of São Paulo in 2018, an M.A. in American Literature in 2011 and a B.A. in English and Portuguese from the same university in 2005. My research focuses on the connections between American literature, history, society, cinema, modern art and popular culture in the 20th century. I have academic and research experience in American Literature, Cinema Studies and Cultural Studies. I have also specialized in and worked with translating and interpreting. I taught English at UNIESP and Universidade Nove de Julho, where I also taught Interpreting. I am a member of The F. Scott Fitzgerald Society.

Professora de literatura, pesquisadora independente e tradutora. Doutora (2018) e mestre (2011) em Estudos Linguísticos e Literários em Inglês pela Universidade de São Paulo. Possui bacharelado em Letras - Inglês e Português (2005) pela mesma instituição. Tem experiência na área de Letras, com ênfase em Literatura em Língua Inglesa, atuando principalmente nos temas: romance estadunidense, modernismo, literatura e sociedade, literatura e cinema, literatura e outras artes e estudos culturais. Também tem formação em Interpretação pela PUCSP e experiência profissional no ensino superior na área de Letras e Tradução e Interpretação. É membro da The F. Scott Fitzgerald Society.
