Alexsandro Araujo da Silva

Graduated in Chemistry (1999; bachelor and licensed in chemistry) and Master in Agrochemistry (2001; area of Organic Chemistry), both from the Federal University of Viçosa (MG). DSc in Sciences (2008), Organic Chemistry concentration area, by the Chemistry Institute of the State University of Campinas (Unicamp). He was Field Service Engineer at Agilent Technologies Brasil, in the field of Analytical Instrumentation; and Applications Chemist at the company Varian Ind. e Com. LTDA, also in the field of Analytical Instrumentation. He has experience in the area of Chemistry, with an emphasis on Organic Geochemistry and Synthesis of Geochemical Biomarkers, acting mainly on the following topics: GCHR-MS (SQ, QQQ, and Ion Trap); LC / MS (SQ and QQQ); Geochemical biomarkers; Petroleum. He was Vice-Director of IQ / UERJ between 2018 and 2020. He is currently Director of IQ / UERJ and Adjunct Professor II of the Department of Organic Chemistry.

Doutor em Ciências (2008), área de concentração Química Orgânica, pelo Instituto de Química da Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp). Foi Field Service Engineer da Empresa Agilent Technologies Brasil , do ramo de Instrumentação Analítica; e Químico de Aplicações da Empresa Varian Ind. e Com. LTDA , também do ramo de Instrumentação Analítica. Tem experiência na área de Química, com ênfase em Geoquímica Orgânica e Síntese de Biomarcadores Geoquímicos, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: GCHR-MS (SQ, QQQ, e Ion Trap); LC/MS (SQ e QQQ); Biomarcadores Geoquímicos; Petróleo. Foi Vice-Diretor do IQ/UERJ entre 2018 a 2020. Atualmente é Diretor do IQ/UERJ e Professor Adjunto II do Departamento de Química Orgânica.
