Marco Antônio Torres

He has a degree (1999), a master's degree (2005) and a doctorate (2012) in Psychology from UFMG (Federal University of Minas Gerais). He is currently a permanent professor of the Graduate Program in Education of the Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP) and is attached to the Department of Education of this university. In it, he coordinated the Institutional Managerial Committee for Initial and Continuous Training of Professionals of the Magisterium of Basic Education at UFOP with MEC, FNDE and CAPES funding. He was vice-coordinator (2015-2017) and coordinator (2017-2018) of the Graduate Program in Education of UFOP and was head of the Education Department of UFOP (2011-2012). Has participated and coordinated training courses for teachers in the public network with the themes of Gender, Sexuality and Human Rights. He was part of the National Board of the Brazilian Association of Psychology and Society (ABRAPSO) in 2016/2017 management. He was co-editor of the journal Psychology and Society. He collaborated with the Nucleus of Political Psychology and the LGBT Human Rights and Citizenship Center, both of UFMG. Participated in 2010/2011 of the working group of the Ministry of Education to monitor the implementation of the Brazil Program without Homophobia and the National Plan for the Promotion of Citizenship of LGBT Human Rights. He was an associate member of the Capuchin Province of Minas Gerais, a professor at the Santo Tomás de Aquino Institute, a psychologist-researcher of ecclesial organizations of the Catholic Church. Research in the areas of Education and Social Psychology. Research and publishes about the educational contexts with emphasis in the themes Education and Diversity, Gender, Sexualities, Laicity, Human Rights, Subjectivities and Political Identities.

Possui graduação (1999), mestrado (2005) e doutorado (2012) em Psicologia pela UFMG (Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais). Atualmente é professor do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação da Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto (UFOP) e está vinculado ao Departamento de Educação desta universidade. Na UFOP exerceu os seguintes cargos: coordenação do Comitê Gestor Institucional de Formação Inicial e Continuada de Profissionais do Magistério da Educação Básica da UFOP com financiamento MEC, FNDE e CAPES, vice coordenação (2015-2017) e coordenação (2017-2018) do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação, chefia do Departamento de Educação (2011-2012) coordenação do Curso de Pedagogia (2021-2022) e vice coordenação do Curso e Pedagogia (2022-2023). Atualmente é membro titular do Conselho Nacional dos Direitos das Pessoas LGBTQIA+ como representante da ANPED (2023-atual). Fez parte da Diretoria Nacional da Associação Brasileira de Psicologia e Sociedade (ABRAPSO) na gestão 2016/2017. Foi coeditor da Revista Psicologia e Sociedade. Colaborou com o Núcleo de Psicologia Política e o Núcleo de Direitos Humanos e Cidadania LGBT, ambos da UFMG. Participou entre 2010/2011 do grupo de trabalho do Ministério da Educação para acompanhar a implantação do Programa Brasil sem Homofobia e o Plano Nacional de Promoção da Cidadania dos Direitos Humanos LGBT. Foi membro associado da Província dos Capuchinhos de Minas Gerais, professor do Instituto Santo Tomás de Aquino, psicólogo-pesquisador de organismos eclesiais da Igreja Católica. Pesquisa nas Áreas da Educação e Psicologia Social. Pesquisa e publica acerca dos contextos educacionais com ênfase nos temas Educação e Diversidade, Gênero, Sexualidades, Laicidade, Direitos Humanos, Subjetividades e Identidades Políticas.
