Suelene Vaz da Silva

Dr. Suelene Vaz da Silva is a full professor at the Federal Institute of Goiás. She has a doctorate (2012) and Master (2006) in Letters and Linguistics from the Federal University of Goiás and a degree in Letters: Portuguese / English from the same University (2012).. She has experience in the area of language teaching, with emphasis on teaching English as a second language (L2) and foreign language (LE) and Portuguese as a mother language, L2 and host language (PLAC). She develops research on the teaching and learning of Portuguese as PLAC, teacher training from the perspective of teaching PLAc and also in the use of digital technologies in educational contexts. Currently, she coordinates the teaching-extension project 'Migratory Movements in V: teaching Portuguese to speakers of other languages'.

Suelene Vaz da Silva é professora titular no Instituto Federal de Goiás. Possui doutorado (2012) e mestrado (2006) em Letras e Linguística pela Universidade Federal de Goiás e graduação em Letras: Português/Inglês pela mesma Universidade (2012). Tem experiência na área de ensino de línguas, com ênfase no ensino de inglês como segunda língua (L2) e língua estrangeira e português como língua materna, L2 e língua de acolhimento (PLAc). Desenvolve pesquisas sobre ensino-aprendizagem de PLAc, formação de professores na perspectiva do ensino de PLAc e no uso de tecnologias digitais em contexto educacional. Atualmente, coordena o projeto de ensino-extensão 'Movimentos Migratórios em V: ensino de português para falantes de outras línguas', no IFG, câmpus Goiânia.
