Gisele de Freitas Gauze

Graduated in Chemistry Bachelor's Degree from the State University of Maringá (2003) and PhD in Organic Chemistry from the State University of Maringá i (2008), with an emphasis on Structure, Conformation and Stereochemistry. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the State University of Maringá and advisor to the Graduate Program in Chemistry. She has experience in the area of Organic Chemistry, working mainly on the following themes: docking and molecular modeling in the rational planning of drugs and the study of phytochemicals; synthesis of compounds with potential anticholinesterase and antimicrobial activity; study of the reaction organic mechanism by theoretical calculations.

Possui graduação em Química Bacharelado pela Universidade Estadual de Maringá (2003) e Doutorado em Química Orgânica pela Universidade Estadual de Maringá (2008), com ênfase em Estrutura, Conformação e Estereoquímica. Atualmente é Professora Associada do Departamento de Química da Universidade Estadual de Maringá e orientadora do Programa de Pós-graduação em Química. Tem experiência na área de Química Orgânica, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: docking e modelagem molecular no planejamento racional de fármacos e estudo de substâncias fitoquímicas; síntese de compostos com potencial atividade anticolinesterásica e antimicrobiana; estudo do mecanismo de reação orgânicas por cálculos teóricos.
