Taisiya Konstantinosovna Karipidis

I am an adventurous and creative person that is why I've chosen to be a geologist. I graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University with a Masters Degree in Geology, and at the moment I continue my education at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro attending a Petroleum Geophysics Course. I am learning interpretation of 2D and 3D seismic and working with Petrel on geological modelling.During my career I have had the opportunity to act in two vast areas of geology exploration geology and mineralogy/crystallography. My latest working experience was a Field Engineer position with Schlumberger. I quickly adapted to a dynamic pace of the oilfield industry and learned fast the fundamentals of Oil & Gas drilling, formation evaluation, logging tools operations, log interpretation and petrophysics. Being an LWD Engineer I was involved in drilling operations with GR, Resistivity, Nuclear and Acoustic Tools offshore Brazil and on land in Siberia, Russia. As a crystallographer I was specialized on crystal growth with the focus on zincite hydro-thermal growth. Within an internship project with BHP Billiton I studied pore structure and spacial distribution in chalcopyrite ore samples using X-ray micro-computer-tomograph. I also worked in X-ray laboratory of A.V. Shubnikov Institute of Crystallography, where I participated in eudialyte structure determination.
Possui graduação em Geologia pela Universidade Estatal de Moscou (2006) e mestrado em Geologia pela Universidade Estatal de Moscou (2008). Tem 7 anos de experiência na área de Petróleo e Gas.
