Alessandra Jungs de Almeida

Doutoranda em Relações Internacionais pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Relações Internacionais (PPGRI) da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), com doutorado sanduíche no Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Mestra em Relações Internacionais pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Relações Internacionais (PPGRI) da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC). Bacharela em Relações Internacionais pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM), com período de formação na Universidad de Santiago de Chile (USACH). Foi pesquisadora visitante no Kofi Annan Institute for Conflict Transformation (KAICT) na University of Liberia (UL). Atua como estudante-pesquisadora no Núcleo de Estudos de Gênero na Política Externa e Internacional (NEGPEI) e como assistente de pesquisa no Data + Feminism Lab, MIT.

I am a PhD candidate in International Relations at the Federal University of Santa Catarina and a research assistant at the Data + Feminism Lab, MIT.In 2022-2023 I was a Ph.D. visiting student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). At UFSC, I am a graduate student at the Center of Gender Studies in Foreign and International Politics (NEGPEI).I hold a Masters degree in International Relations from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and a B.A. in International Relations from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), with a period of studying in International Studies at the University of Santiago de Chile (USACH). I was also a visiting student at the Kofi Annan Institute for Conflict Transformation (KAICT) at the University of Liberia (UL).My main research agenda explores gender and feminist dimensions in International Relations research, specifically the transnational activism on sexual and reproductive rights, violence against women, and peacebuilding.
