Matthew Joseph Perlmutter

Matthew Joseph Perlmutter atualmente é professor adjunto do Departamento de Matemática da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. Tem experiência na área de Matemática, com ênfase em Sistemas Dinâmicos, Geometria Simplética e de Poisson e Teoria de Controle. No momento trabalha em anatomia computacional, algoritmos numericos preservando estruturas geométricas e mecanica geométrica em geral.É coautor do livro Hamiltonian Reduction by Stages, J. E. Marsden, G. Misiol􏰍ek, J. P. Ortega, M. Perlmutter, and T. S. Ratiu, Springer Lecture Notes in Mathematics, 1913, (2007).

Matthew Joseph Perlmutter has PH.D. in Mathematics from University of California at Berkeley (1999). His focus is in Hamiltonian Dynamic Systems, Symplectic and Poisson Geometry and Control Theory. Currently works on Image template matching (computational anatomy), structure preserving numerical algorithms, ands geometric mechanics. Is a coauthor of the book Hamiltonian Reduction by Stages, J. E. Marsden, G. Misiol􏰍ek, J. P. Ortega, M. Perlmutter, and T. S. Ratiu, Springer Lecture Notes in Mathematics, 1913, (2007).
