Doutora pela USP, com prêmio de 10 anos de carreira em Arte/Tecnologia (2011). Desde 1996, pesquisa e aplica projetos educativos aliados aos meios de comunicação e às artes. Atualmente é professora efetiva da Universidade Federal no Ceará, onde coordena o Projet'ares Audiovisuais (#ir! & #MESA-LAB) e a equipe editorial da Revista Vazantes (PPGARTES/ICA/UFC). Milena Szafir (Ph.D.) is Professor of Arts & Moving Images in Brazil (Post & Graduate Levels). Her research areas are Media Literacy and Audio-Visual Rhetorics.
