Isabella (Bella) Valle is a photographer, researcher and Adjunct Professor at the Department of Communication at the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), also linked to the Graduate Program in Communication (PPGC) at UFPB. She has a PhD degree from the Postgraduate Program in Communication at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), with a thesis on women photographers, and a master?s degree in Communication and Semiotics from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC/SP), with a dissertation on photography and digital technologies. He holds a BA in Social Communication/Journalism from UFPE, studied Audiovisual Communication at the Universidad de Sevilla (Spain, 2006-2007) and was a member of the Laboratoire Arts des Images et Art Contemporain at the Université Paris 8 (France, 2015-2016). She worked as a photographer at Jornal do Commercio (JC) and at Fundarpe/PE and is an independent photographer. He is a member of the 7Fotografia collective, through which he has produced content (texts, reviews and images) and events (curatorship, cultural production) on photography since 2011. He also teaches workshops and theoretical and practical courses on photography, images and gender issues. Isabella Valle is the coordinator of TATO - Laboratory for research on images, bodies and affections, registered in the Directory of Research Groups of CNPq; co-coordinator of Partejar, an interdisciplinary extension project with indigenous Potiguara women from Paraíba, focusing on midwives. Bella Valle is also an artivist, a member of the feminist collective Leave Ela em Paz, for urban and digital intervention.

É bacharel em Comunicação Social/Jornalismo pela UFPE, estudou Comunicación Audiovisual na Universidad de Sevilla (Espanha, 2006-2007) e integrou o Laboratoire Arts des Images et Art Contemporain na Université Paris 8 (França, 2015-2016). Atuou como fotógrafa no Jornal do Commercio (JC) e na Fundarpe/PE e é fotógrafa independente. É integrante do coletivo 7Fotografia, através do qual produz conteúdos (textos, críticas e imagens) e eventos (curadoria, produção cultural) sobre fotografia desde 2011. Também ministra oficinas e cursos teóricos e práticos sobre fotografia, imagens e questões de gênero. Isabella Valle é coordenadora do TATO - Laboratório de pesquisa em imagens, corpos e afecções, cadastrado no Diretório dos Grupos de Pesquisa do CNPq; co-coordenadora do Partejar, projeto de extensão interdisciplinar com mulheres indígenas Potiguara da Paraíba, com foco nas parteiras. Bella Valle também é artivista, integrante do coletivo feminista Deixa Ela em Paz, de intervenção urbana e digital.
