Im a Sr Scientist with extensive experience in managing, researching, and developing projects in cancer genomics. I have bachelors degree in biomedical sciences from the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública (2004-2008). I continued my pursuing in academic path by obtained my Masters degree in health sciences from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, Brazil (2011-2014). Then, I successfully obtained my Doctor of Science degree from Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, Brazil (2014-2019), and a sandwich program in the University of Chicago, USA (2015-2016). My thesis contributed to the first molecular characterization of susceptibility to breast cancer in Afro-descendants in Northeastern Brazil. Furthermore, I jointed as lab manager in Brazilian and multinational biotechs laboratories (2018-2022) focused on developing genetic testing for (i) assessment of hereditary predisposition to cancer, as well as (ii) tumor profiling, reflex and comprehensive genomic profile tests in solid tumors and liquid biopsy. Nowadays, I collaborated as Postdoctoral Scientist in the Center of Bioinformatics and Functional Genomics from Cedars-Sinai (USA) focusing on research and develop colorectal cancer epigenetic markers in liquid biopsy.
