Doutora em Ciências pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2003),Mestre em Cirurgia Bucal e Maxilo Facial pela UFRJ; Mestre em Advanced General Dentistry - University of Maryland System (2002),Especialização em Estomatologia pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ),Bacharel em Odontologia pela Universidade Federal de Alagoas (1983).Foi Cirurgiã-Dentista da Universidade Federal de Alagoas (aposentada) atuou no Hospital Universitário/Unidade de Doenças Infecciosas e Parasitárias (UDIP/HD) prestando atendimento a pessoas convivendo com HIV\aids.Atualmente é professora de graduação do Centro Universitário CESMAC, atuando na disciplina de Propedêutica Clínica, e na pós graduação stricto sensu, onde exerce as funções de Docente Permante e Coordenadora no Programa de Mestrado Profissional Pesquisa em Saúde; Cirurgiã-dentista da Prefeitura Municipal de Maceió , onde exerce o cargo de estomatologista. Líder do grupo de pesquisa Processo saúde-doença e comportamento atuando nas linhas de pesquisa: Atransdiciplinaridadeno processo saúde-doença Avaliação dos aspectos bio-psico-social e comportamental de pacientes vivendo com doenças crônicas e doenças infecto-contagiosas e Propedêutica clínica e experimental, vinculado ao Programa do CESMAC.Tem experiência na área de Odontologia, com ênfase em Estomatologia, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Câncer de boca, Aids, infecção pelo HIV e outras doenças Infecciosas,controle de infecção e manifestações bucais de Doenças sistêmicas.

PhD in Sciences by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2003), Master in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery by UFRJ; Master in Advanced General Dentistry - University of Maryland System (2002), Specialization in Stomatology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Bachelor of Dentistry from the Federal University of Alagoas (1983). Was a Dental Surgeon at the Federal University of Alagoas (retired) worked at the University Hospital / Infectious and Parasitic Diseases Unit (UDIP / HD) providing care to people living with HIV \ aids. She is currently an undergraduate professor at CESMAC University Center, working in the discipline of Clinical Propaedeutics, and in stricto sensu postgraduate courses, where she exercises the functions of Professor and Coordinator in the Professional Master Program in Health Research; Dental surgeon of the Municipality of Maceió, where she holds the position of stomatologist. Leader of the research group Health-disease process and behavior acting in the research lines: Transdisciplinarity in the health-disease process Evaluation of the bio-psycho-social and behavioral aspects of patients living with chronic diseases and infectious diseases and clinical and experimental propaedeutics linked to the CESMAC Program. Has experience in Dentistry, focusing on Stomatology, acting on the following subjects: Oral cancer, AIDS, HIV infection and other infectious diseases, infection control and oral manifestations of systemic diseases.
