Graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1999). She performed a Medical Residency in Otorhinolaryngology at Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre from 2000 to 2002. She was an Observer Fellow in the field of laryngology at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF), Mayo Clinic (Rochester) and Poliquinic des Minguetes (Lyon). PhD in Otorhinolaryngology from the University of São Paulo in 2009. She September Otorhinolaryngologist at UFRJ from April 2008 to June 2010.She was Substitute Professor at UERJ from 2010 to 2015. She is currently an adjunct professor at UERJ since 2021.
