Doutor em Ciência da Computação pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), com período sanduíche no INRIA-France (The National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Control). Possui Mestrado em Informática pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais (PUC-MG). Graduado em Ciência da Computação pela PUC-MG. Professor efetivo no Instituto Federal do Norte de Minas Gerais (IFNMG). Tem experiência na área de Engenharia de Software, Software Open Source, Engenharia Reversa e Desenvolvimento de Sistemas e Aplicativos, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas / disciplinas: Ensino de Engenharia de Software e Programação Orientada a Objetos, Arquitetura de Software, Desenvolvimento para Ambientes Móveis, e Métodos Ágeis.
