Edisson Sávio de Góes Maciel

Edisson Sávio is graduated in Mechanical Engineering by the Pernambuco Federal University (UFPE) (1987-1992), Master degree in Nuclear Energetic Technologies by the Pernambuco Federal University (UFPE) (1994-1995), Doctor degree in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering by the Aeronautical Technological Institute (ITA) (1996-2002) and Post-Doctor degree in Aerospace Engineering by the Aeronautical Technological Institute (ITA) (2008-2009). He is expert in Aerospace Engineering, with enphasis in centered and upwind numerical methods of high resolution, acting mainly in the following themes: finite volumes and finite differences, centered and upwind schemes, Euler and Navier-Stokes equations, structured and unstructured algorithms, artificial dissipation models, two- and three-dimension spaces, flux difference splitting schemes and flux vector splitting schemes, zero-order turbulence models, one-equation and two-equation turbulence models, TVD and ENO schemes, reactive schemes, entry flows in other planet atmospheres and reentry flows in Earth atmosphere, flowfields submitted to magnetic field.
