Edmar Monteiro Filho

Bacharelado em Ciências Biológicas Modalidade Médica pela Universidade Federal de São Paulo (1980). Licenciatura em História pela Fundação Municipal de Ensino Superior de Bragança Paulista (2008), com especialização em História Cultural pela mesma instituição de ensino (2010). É mestre e doutor em Teoria e História Literária pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas - UNICAMP (2018). Tem experiência na área de Letras, com ênfase em Teoria Literária, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: literatura, conto, oficina literária, construção do conhecimento e Graciliano Ramos. Autor de onze livros, entre conto, romance e poesia. Venceu os concursos Guimarães Rosa, Cruz e Souza, Cidade de Belo Horizonte e Luiz Vilela, todos na categoria contos. Seu primeiro romance, Fita azul, foi finalista do Prêmio São Paulo de Literatura, na categoria livro do ano, em 2012. Coordenou oficinas literárias em diversas cidades do Brasil.

Author of eleven books, including novels, short stories and poetry books. Winner of the literary awards: Guimarães Rosa, Cruz e Souza, Cidade de Belo Horizonte and Luiz Vilela. His first novel, Fita azul, was a finalist for the São Paulo Literature Prize, in the category book of the year, in 2012. He coordinated literary workshops in several cities in Brazil.
