Albertina Varandas Capelo

Graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) (1990), Master in Neurology from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO) (2007) and PhD in HEALTH OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN from the FERNANDES FIGUEIRAS INSTITUTE - FIOCRUZ (2015). She is currently a public doctor at the Gaffrée e Guinle University Hospital (HUGG) at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro and Adjunct Professor of Allergy and Immunology at UNIRIO. Head of the HUGG Allergy and Immunology outpatient clinic. Coordinator of Medical Residency in Allergy and Immunology at Hospital Universitário Gaffrée e Guinle, Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro. She is a reviewer of the Journal of Asthma and Allergy, BMC Pulmonary Medicine, European Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Pulmonology, Journal of Asthma, Allegology and Immunopathology. She has experience in the field of Medicine, with an emphasis on Allergology and Clinical Immunology, working mainly on the following topics: Bronchial Asthma, Anaphylaxis, Drug hypersensitivity reactions, Primary Immunodeficiencies.

Possui graduação em Medicina pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) (1990), Mestrado em Neurologia pela Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO) (2007) e Doutorado em SAÚDE DA MULHER E DA CRIANÇA pelo INSTITUTO FERNANDES FIGUEIRAS -FIOCRUZ (2015). Atualmente é médica concursada do Hospital Universitário Gaffrée e Guinle (HUGG) da Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro e Professora Adjunta de Alergia e Imunologia da UNIRIO. Chefe do ambulatório de Alergia e Imunologia do HUGG. Coordenadora da Residência Médica em Alergia e Imunologia do Hospital Universitário Gaffrée e Guinle da Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. É revisora do Journal of Asthma and Allergy, BMC Pulmonary Medicine, European Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Pulmonology, Journal of Asthma, Allegologia et Immunopathologia.Tem experiência na área de Medicina, com ênfase em Alergologia e Imunologia Clínica, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Asma Brônquica, Anafilaxia, Reações de hipersensibilidade a fármacos, Imunodeficiências Primárias.
