Ana Larissa Adorno Marciotto Oliveira

She has a degree in Portuguese-English Literature from the Federal University of Mato Grosso - UFMT (1993), a Master's Degree in Education and Languages #8203;#8203;from UFMT (1997) and a PhD in Linguistics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais - UFMG (2006). She is a Professor of Functional Syntax, Semantics and Pragmatics of the English Language at FALE UFMG. She is also a professor and post-graduate researcher (Poslin) of FALE - UFMG in the areas of Linguistics, Portuguese Language and English Language. She was the Hed of the English Language Department at FALE UFMG from 2010 to 2018. She coordinated the CEI / ELI Specialization Course at FALE UFMG from 2012 to 2018. She worked as a consultant for INEP in the National Evaluation Programa of Portuguese and Englisnh in 2012 to 2016. She coordinated the CAPES Fulbright English Teaching Assistants Project at FALE-UFMG in 2018. She is currently the Head of the Languages #8203;#8203;Without Borders Program (IsF) MEC CAPES at UFMG. She has been supervisor of the Outreach Langauge Programa at Cenex FALE UFMG since 2010. She is a reviewer of several national and international journals in the Linguistics Department. She has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Portuguse, Linguistics and Applied Linguistics.. She works in the following fields: cognitive-functional approaches for the linguistic studies and pragmatic of language in use. She is a member of the Speech Articulation Research Groups (GEAD). She is a member of the Description of the Portuguese Language Research Group of ANPOLL.

É doutora pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (2006), com pós-doutorado pela Universidade de Lancaster (2022 e 2023) e também pela Universidade de Southampton (2023). É Bolsista Produtividade do CNPq (Nível 2) e líder do Grupo de Estudos em Pragmática, Texto e Discurso (GEPTED- CNPq), ao lago de Gustavo Ximenes Cunha. É integrante dos GTs de Descrição do Português e de Linguística do Texto e de Análise da Conversação da ANPOLL, além de membro do Linguistic Politeness Research Group (LPRG) e da International Society of Public Law (ICON S). Foi vice - coordenadora do POSLIN (2019 a 2023) e membro titular do Conselho Universitário da UFMG (2018-2022). Coordena o Projeto "Capacity Building through e-learning" (University of Southampton e UFMG) e o Curso de Especialização em Linguagem Jurídica (LINJUR - UFMG). Tem experiência na área de Linguística, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: pragmática, língua em uso, sintaxe da língua inglesa e da língua portuguesa. Atualmente, pesquisa (im)polidez e discurso político, principalmente em ambientes digitais.
