José Jozefran Berto Freire

Graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Pernambuco (1971). He did a Master's degree in Forensic Dentistry at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) with the theme Height: fundamental data in Forensic Anthropology. He completed a Doctorate in Social Psychology at the University of São Paulo (2009) with the thesis: On doctrine and method in Legal Medicine, an epistemological essay on a bio-psycho-social science. Practices Medicine in the specialties: Legal Medicine and Medical Expertise since 1987; General Surgery and Gastroenterology since 1972. He has a special interest in the Medicine / Philosophy of Science dyad, with a special focus on the Bio-psycho-social aspect, with articles published on the theme and also several participations in congresses, courses, symposia and seminars in the dissemination of said dyad in Brazil and outside the country. He has personal experience in Forensic Medicine and Medical Examinations and its relations with Public Health, Civil and Criminal Codes and the legislation derived therefrom.
