Marcelo Abrantes Linguitte
Marcelo is a senior Latin American sustainability and CSR expert with over 25 years of private sector and non-profit experience. He has worked in more than 20 countries in sustainability projects, most of them supported by or in partnership with international organizations and multilaterals. He is an experienced project manager who has worked on sustainability and ethics projects in some of the largest companies in Latin America. He brings his consulting experience techniques to diverse teams in multiple cultures, ensuring that projects meet their business objectives on time and on budget. In 2002 he was nominated a foreign emerging leader and was invited by the US Department of State to participate in the International Visitor Leadership Program. He structured the UN Global Compact chapter in Brazil and was its first national focal point. He was also Brazilian representative for the ISO 26.000. He was board member of the Brazilian exchange market (BM&F Bovespa) for the creation of ISE ? Sustainability Index. He has in-depth knowledge of and experience with culture and business practices across different regions including the Global North and South. He also acts as a speaker and has performed in over 250 lectures in the last years. He has coordinated or contributed to the edition of twelve publications. He graduated in civil engineer and holds specializations in social responsibility and ethics. He is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
