Recently awarded with the world-renowned Marie Curie Post-doctoral Fellowship (MCSA, H2020), his research is focused on the role of environmental factors in the evolution of animal acoustic communication and the impacts of global change on the species' communicative strategies. PhD in Ecology by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), who granted him the Premio Extraordinario de Doctorado 2013-2014. He is now working in that university, as researcher of the program TALENTO (?Atracción de Talento Investigador?, co-funded by the Comunidad de Madrid, Spain). The Fyssen Fondation and the CEBA (France) have supported his research at the Muséum national d?Histoire naturalle of Paris (MNHN), studying natural soundscapes and biodiversity acoustic indices with the well-regarded group leaded by Dr. Sueur. Also, he is a collaborator professor at the Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG, Brazil), where he supervises and lectures students and coordinates research projects. Among other tasks, he is a councillor of the board of the International Society of Ecoacoustics (ISE) and the Journal of Ecoacoustics since their foundation and he also was a member of the organizing committee of the first European Workshop on Animal Sound Research.
