Eduardo Farias Sanches

Graduated in Physiotherapy by the Federal University of Santa Maria (2007). Master and PhD in Biological Sciences - Neurosciences by Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2010-2014) studying neonatal hypoxic-ischemic theme. Fellowship PDJ - CNPq (UFRGS) (2014-2015) in the research group of Toxicity and Neurometabolic Diseases under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Angela Wyse where he developed his project "Gestational Swimming as a neuroprotective strategy: biochemical, behavioral and morphological calterations in rats with neonatal hypoxia-ischemia ". He worked as a collaborator in research projects involving experimental spinal cord injury, treatment with cell therapy and exercise, ischemic preconditioning in a cerebral hemorrhage model, the effects of aging on memory and non-pharmacological therapies in the treatment of experimental brain hemorrhage, and others. Currently, is a Excellence Scholarship holder of the Swiss Confederation under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Stéphane Sizonenko in the project "Does maternal swimming During gestation protects the neonatal brain from hypoxic-ischemic injury?".

Possui graduação em Fisioterapia pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (2007). Possui Mestrado e Doutorado em Ciências Biológicas - Neurociências pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul sob orientação do Prof. Dr. Carlos Alexandre Netto (2010 - 2014). Bolsista PDJ - CNPq sob supervisão da Profª Drª Angela Wyse (UFRGS) (2014 - 2015). Bolsista de excelência da Confederação Suíça sob supervisão do Prof. Dr. Stéphane Sizonenko na Universidade de Genebra (2015 - 2017). Bolsista PDJ - CNPq sob supervisão do Prof Dr. Carlos Alexandre Netto (UFRGS) (2017-2018). Bolsista DOCFIX CAPES (2018 - ) sob supervisão da Profª Drª Angela Wyse (UFRGS). Desde setembro de 2019 trabalha como Maittre-Assistant na Universidade de Genebra no laboratório do Dr Stéphane Sizonenko no Departamento de Pediatria.
