Jean David Job Emmanuel Marie Caprace

Has a master's degree in industrial engineering - Institut Superieur Industriel de Bruxelles (2000) and PhD in Applied Sciences from the University of Liege (2010). He is currently the head of the Ocean Engineering Program in Ocean Engineering (PEnO) and professor of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), acting in the Maritime Transport Area of Ocean Engineering Program of the Alberto Luiz Coimbra Institute for Graduate Studies and Research in Engineering (COPPE). He has experience in the field of design and production optimization of ships and offshore structures. He published about 100 research papers and articles in journals and conferences. Speaker at international conferences in Belgium, Brazil, China, Germany, UK, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Korea, Netherlands, Peru, Taiwan, USA and Panama. He is the editor in chief of the Marine Systems & Ocean Technology Journal (MSOT-SPINGER). Has been chairman of the Specialist Committee V.3 (Material and Fabrication Technology) of the International Ship & Offshore Structures Congress (ISSC 2015).

Possui mestrado em engenharia industrial - Institut Supérieur Industriel de Bruxelles (2000) e doutorado em Ciências Aplicadas pela Universidade de Liege (2010). Atualmente é coordenador do Programa de Pós-graduação em Engenharia Oceânica (PEnO) e professor da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), atuando na Área de Transporte Aquaviária do Instituto Alberto Luiz Coimbra de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa de Engenharia (COPPE). Possui experiência no campo do design e otimização da produção de navios e estruturas offshore. Publicou cerca de 100 trabalhos de pesquisa e artigos em revistas de prestígio e conferências. Palestrante em conferências internacionais na Bélgica, Brasil, China, Alemanha, Reino Unido, Hungria, Itália, Japão, Coreia, Holanda, Peru, Taiwan, EUA e Panamá. É editor em chefe do periódico Marine Systems & Ocean Technology (MSOT-SPINGER). Foi chairman do Specialist Committee V.3 (Material and Fabrication Technology) do International Ship & Offshore Structures Congress (ISSC 2015).
