Luimar Cavalcanti de Oliveira

Graduated with a BA in Physics from the Federal University of Paraíba (1975), MA in Physics from the Federal University of Paraíba (1983) and Ph.D. in Physics from the University of São Paulo (1994). III is currently Professor (E Class) at the Federal University of Paraíba and Research Professor I of Undergraduate Life Sciences, Distance Degree from the Federal University of Paraíba. Already carried out research in the areas of classical mechanics about the canonical transformations and canonóides and Condensed Matter Physics acting on the following topics: saturable absorbers, z scan, and nonlinear refractive index. Currently developing studies on statistical optics.

Possui graduação em bacharelado em Física pela Universidade Federal da Paraíba (1975), mestrado em Física pela Universidade Federal da Paraíba (1983) e doutorado em Física pela Universidade de São Paulo (1994). Atualmente é Professor Titular da Universidade Federal da Paraíba e Professor Pesquisador I do Curso de Graduação em Ciências Naturais, Licenciatura à Distância da Universidade Federal da Paraíba. Já desenvolveu pesquisas nas áreas da Mecânica Clássica acerca das Transformações Canônicas e Canonóides e em Física da Matéria Condensada atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: absorvedores saturáveis, z-scan, e índice de refração não-linear. Atualmente desenvolve estudos na área de óptica estatística.e dinâmica não-linear.
