Lívia Cristina Rocha Mendonça da Frota

Graduada em Farmácia da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Doutora em Química de Produtos Naturais pelo Instituto de Pesquisa de Produtos Naturais, com estágio sanduíche na Queens University, sob supervisão do Professor Victor Snieckus. Fez parte do corpo editorial, como colaborador, da seção de síntese de heterociclos do periódico Synfacts-Currents Highlights in Organic Chemistry. Foi Professora Substituta do IQ-UFRJ entre 2019 e 2021. Atualmente, é pos-doutoranda no Laboratório de Síntese Orgânica no IPPN-UFRJ, onde atua no desenvolvimento de metodologias sintéticas para aplicação em síntese de compostos bioativos e na funcionalização de aminoácidos e proteínas.

Graduated in Pharmacy from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. PhD in Natural Product Chemistry from the Natural Products Research Institute, with a sandwich internship at Queens University, under the supervision of Professor Victor Snieckus. She was part of the editorial board, as a contributor, of the heterocycle synthesis section of the journal Synfacts-Currents Highlights in Organic Chemistry. Substitute Professor at IQ-UFRJ between 2019 and 2021. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Organic Synthesis Laboratory at IPPN-UFRJ, where she works on the development of synthetic methodologies for application in the synthesis of bioactive compounds and in the functionalization of amino acids and proteins.
