Currently, Dr. Yawar Hussain is a postdoctoral researcher at Research Centre for Geological Risks - CERI, University of Rome "Sapienza", Italy. He is working on the multiparametric slope instability analysis affecting strategic infrastructures and cultural heritage. Activities include jointly, working on two European projects: i) STABLE-STructural stABiLity risk assEssment, ii) TRIQUETRA-Toolbox for assessing and mitigating Climate Change risks and natural hazards threatening cultural heritage, iii) ACUTO field lab. Wave based data acquisition and processing. Previously, he was affiliated with the Department of Geology, University of Liege, Belgium where he worked on the geophysical site characterization of Einstein Telescope installation site and the potential tsunamigenic mega San Andrés Landslide in El Hierro, Spain. Dr. Hussain finished his post-doctorate in hydromechanics from Environmental Engineering and Earth Science Department, Clemson University, SC, USA, where he analyzed the strain signals of marine water injection test in Avant oil field. He has a PhD degree in Geotechnical Engineering from University of Brasilia - UnB, Brazil with special focus on the geophysical based early warning systems for the shallow landslides in the tropical clay. Additionally, he has postdoctoral and Junior Researcher experiences at the Institute of Geosciences, UnB, Brazil. He is also working in GeoKarst group of UnB as a foreign expert on near-surface geophysical application to karst. He has also experienced working on the fluvial geomorphology, hydrogeology, and Brazilian covered karst system applying various near-surface geophysical techniques. In recent years, he has collaborated with renowned scholars worldwide and authored a number of peer reviewed articles covering various topics of earth sciences. Dr. Hussain is also serving as the youth editorial board member of Natural Hazards Research and as a Review editor Geohazards and Georisks, Frontiers in Earth Science. He is also serving as a reviewer for many journals
